The Flash

Here's a drawing I did for a comic festival I'm attending in Belgium on November. I took it as an opportunity to do more practice on getting my Barry Allen right. I'm still drawing him too young though and has more of a Wally vibe since he's who I've been drawing all my life. Hope to get it right by the time I start the book. In the meanwhile hope you guys enjoy watching my journey to getting it right.

Don't worry about getting him to look older because while Barry was gone he never aged. They even have Barry's former police chief mention that he hasn't aged a day in an issue of Ribirth. Your doing great and I love your art. I can't wait to see what kind of awesome cover you will give us with issue #1 for the ongoing series.

I've heard that with the new ongoing that each issue will have 22 pages of Barry and a 10 page mini-feature with Wally. Are you going to be doing the art for both the 22 pages of Barry AND the 10 pages with Wally or are you just going to be focused on the 22 pages of Barry?

I'm really looking forward to seeing the new costume for Wally and hoping that it's some variation of the Walter West/Dark Flash costume of Flash 152-159.

Cool

I think i might buy the flash ,maybe!

Usually i dont really buy comics even though i'm interested ,and i read previews of comics on the internet, like on newsarama or dcublog or sometimes on scans daily

But anyways , yeah, if the art is like adventure comics, and i have to say that the preview of the 1st issue in smallville are, as i recollect, beautiful.

I guess the art style might be a little different going from adventure comics to the flash, but i guess i'll keep an eye out ,lol

I like that the flash won't be too "buff" hopefully, and look more slim i think i like that look better.

But that's just personal taste ,lol

Have a nice day francis!
Bye

Mark Waid recently mentioned one of Barry's lesser known silver age rogues, Atomic Banana Peel, on his twitter account. Is there any chance you & Geoff will be resurrecting this classic rogue in your upcoming run on the new Flash ongoing title?
